About Us

The School of Statistics was founded in 1971 as a successor to the Department of Statistics founded in 1958 as a center for research and teaching in statistical theory and in applied statistics. In addition, since its founding the School has provided consulting to University researchers on the application of statistical methodology in their work. We offer courses leading MS and PhD degrees, and to bachelor's degrees in both the College of Liberal Arts and in the College of Science and Engineering.
