Accommodation
The Organizing Committee has negotiated a special rate at the Grand Metropark Hotel in Hangzhou. The hotel is located in downtown, just minutes away from the West Lake. The hotel's general conditions are comparable to a 4-star hotel by international standards. There will be a shuttle bus every morning to take participants to the conference site. A cab ride between the hotel and the conference site (on one of the Zhejiang University campuses) may take 15-30 minutes, depending on traffic.

To book a room under the conference rate, please send an email request to rsvn.hzgm@metroparkhotels.com with the following message:
- "I would like to book a single (or double) room at your hotel under the IMS-China conference rate.
- Name on Passport: Your name (in the form of "Lee, John" with Lee as the last name)
- Preference: non-smoking
- Check-in date: June 10, 2008; estimated arrival time 8 PM
- Check-out date: June 15, 2008
- Please confirm by email. Thank you."
In your email, please use the check-in and check-out dates according to your plan, but do not write dates in the form of "6/10/08", because this might be taken as October 6 in China. Also do not write more extensively on your request, as it could only make your reservation complicated.
The hotel is expected to reply in a few days. Bring a copy of their reply email as evidence of your booking when you check in.
The conference rate for a single room is 490 Yuan per night, inclusive of tax, one breakfast, and internet connection in the room. This is about $64 (USD). The hotel has reserved around 60 rooms for the conference, and it is offered at the first-come first-served basis.
The hotel will hold your reservation until 6PM on your day of arrival. If you need to guarantee your room for late arrival, please inform the hotel 3 days in advance (Email: michelle.wang@metroparkhotels.com, Phone: 86-571-87088088-2509). The conference will guarantee the first night's charge for any registered participant.
