This is the first part of a full-year sequence on
applied statistical methods for first-year graduate
students in statistics. In this semester, we study
regression methods particularly for the linear
model, regression through graphics, and generalized linear models.
In spring semester, you will cover categorical data analysis and
experimental design.
The textbook for this course is
Applied Regression Including Computing and Graphics. You may need to
download the Arc software from
www.stat.umn.edu/arc.
Some course materials are available in the
"Portable Document Format" (PDF), which can
be viewed and printed by using Acrobat Reader software.
