Extra office hours for Geyer will be 2:30–4:15 on Friday, Dec 14 (the day before the exam).
All homeworks that have not been picked up are in Geyer's office and can be picked up either today or in the extra office hours on Friday.
The algorithms handout as handed out in class Wednesday, November 21 contained an error (which is on the errata page). Everyone should fix their copy (change the heading of Section 7.3 in both the table of contents and the body of the text).

handouts, which may be used on midterms and the final
exam, these algorithms
handdouts are not allowed to be used
on midterms and the final exam. You need to understand these
algorithms. The mere formulas aren't enough by themselves.
We have already gotten a big classroom for 5102 so everyone who is in our 5101 section can get into the 5102 section I am teaching (again at 9:05 MWF). We're just not sure how to handle this yet (raise the caps, give out permission numbers, or something else). I'll announce what we are going to do when I find out from the department staff.
