Some Problems

This is a problem about the sampling distribution of a sample total. The number of calories in a certain brand of hot dog is normally distributed with a mean of 150 calories and a standard deviation of 25 calories. Suppose a child eats four of these hot dogs.
(a)
What is the probability that the four hot dogs had a dotal of more than 500 calories?
(b)
Is yor answer to the above exact or approximate? Explain.
2.
This is problem 5.14 on probability. A survey of college students finds that 40% like country music, 30% like cospel music, and 10% like both.
(a)
Make a Venn diagram with these results.
(b)
What percent like country but not gospel?
(c)
What percent like neither country nor gospel?
