Abstract

In this talk, Tom Scripps will speak of his 30-year journey in industrial statistical consulting.  Designed for those considering “hanging their own shingle,” he will share how his practice got started and how it is structured.  He will compare and contrast the role of the independent consultant with that of the employee consultant, discussing the pros and cons of each.  Illustrations of the range of statistical methods that he has used with clients lately will be included.
