Abstract

This talk is based on my recent theoretical and applied results in nonparametric curve estimation. Its aim is to highlight problems and methods that may be of a more general interest to graduate students, faculty and practitioners, and may serve as a foundation for a collaborate research. The following topics/issues are expected to be addressed:
(1) Wavelets, Multiwavelets and Lower Bound Oracle Inequalities.
(2) Censored and Biased Data.
(3) Type II Diabetes: One Example Based on Time Series Approach.
(4) Learning Machine for Inverse Problems.
(5) Distribution of Regression Errors.
(6) Regression in the Presence of Auxiliary Covariates.
(7) Capital Asset Pricing Models.
(8) Sequential Design for Heteroscedastic Regression.
(9) Conditional Density Estimation.
(10) Measurement Errors.
