The School of Statistics in the College of Liberal Arts invites applications for a full-time, tenure-track position to begin fall semester 2010.

Appointment will be 100% time over the nine-month academic year. Appointment will be at the rank of tenure-track assistant professor or tenure-track instructor, depending on qualifications and experience and consistent with collegiate and University policy.

Ph.D. in Statistics or a closely related quantitative field is required by start date of the appointment. Advanced ABD's may be considered for appointment at the rank of tenure-track instructor, with the understanding that the Ph.D. is conferred in the first year of the appointment.

Candidates will be evaluated according to the overall quality of their academic preparation and scholarly work, evidence of research ability, evidence of commitment to teaching and skills as a teacher and strength of recommendations.
